At some point in our lives, we've all gazed into the mirror and felt a pang of dissatisfaction or insecurity. We've yearned for a more flattering figure, a slimmer physique, or perhaps a prettier face. In this era of constant exposure to flawless Instagram models and influential figures, it's easy to become overwhelmed. Negative self-talk and self-doubt can creep in. How do we reclaim our sense of self?
For me, the answer lies in two phrases that have become buzzwords in recent times: self-care and self-love. However, my version of self-care doesn't involve lavish spa days or extravagant getaways. No, I choose to dress up to show up!
There's something truly transformative about dolling yourself up. In fact, scientific studies have proven that simply styling your hair and donning an outfit that accentuates your best features can boost your confidence and overall happiness. It's a form of self-care that resonates deeply with me.
